My match report

I was nervous as this was my first game in goal for Carfield and I didn’t want to let anyone down. The defenders did a wonderful job and we played attacking football so there were not many shots in the first match. The only shot I couldn’t stop was unfortunately their goal as there were lots of bodies in the box and I couldn’t see the ball until it was too late and had gone in the net. We made some good chances to at least equalise but our strikers were just off target…one of those days I guess.

The second game was harder as Nether Green attacked a lot more. In the first half the striker was clean through on goal but I saved with my hands and pushed it past the post. Then later his next shot I just managed to block with my legs. In the second half it seemed that we attacked more and then Jorome had a shot from outside the box which flew into the net…Final score 1-0. My first clean sheet for Carfield
